Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Peak Pals.
01 How does PeakPals work?
PeakPals transforms your solo workouts into a shared experience. Simply sync your fitness app (like Strava), join a team or a challenge, and watch your activities appear on the leaderboard in real-time. It’s not just about data; it’s about mutual motivation, healthy competition, and reaching common goals – whether with friends or colleagues.
02 What types of sports activities are supported?
Currently, our main focus is on running, as it’s the most popular activity in our community. However, we know many of you also enjoy cycling, swimming, or hiking. Supporting additional sports is at the top of our roadmap for future updates. Our goal is to make PeakPals a versatile companion for all your athletic passions.
03 How much does PeakPals cost?
PeakPals is currently in an exciting beta phase. During this time, using the platform is completely free. This gives us the opportunity to gather valuable feedback from you and perfectly tailor the app to your needs. Sign up and use all premium features without restrictions while we build the future of PeakPals together.
04 Can I create my own challenges?
In the current beta version of PeakPals, we are focusing on a central, curated challenge. This helps us ensure platform stability and perfect the core experience. However, we are already working hard on a feature that will allow you to create and configure your own individual challenges in the future. Your feedback on this is extremely valuable – let us know which features you’d like to see for custom challenges!
05 Until when can I enter my activities?
Fairness is our priority. To ensure leaderboards are correctly finalized at the end of a challenge, your activity must be completed before midnight (11:59 PM) on the final day. We provide a short grace period until 2:00 AM to allow for synchronization by your tracker (e.g., Strava). However, we recommend syncing activities immediately to avoid last-minute technical issues.
06 How do I add new entries?
Currently, synchronization of your athletic performance is handled exclusively via Strava. This ensures high data quality and prevents manipulation. However, we plan to directly integrate other providers like Garmin or Apple Health soon. A manual entry feature is also in the works to ensure none of your activities are lost, even if you’re out without a tracker.
07 Can I use my tracking app?
PeakPals uses Strava as a central interface. Since almost all popular sport apps and watches (Garmin, Polar, Apple Watch, Runkeeper, etc.) can export their data to Strava, you can most likely keep your existing setup. Just connect your Strava account to PeakPals, and your activities will be imported automatically. We are continuously working on creating direct connections to other ecosystems in the future.
08 Can I delete my account at any time?
Your privacy is important to us. An automated account deletion feature will be integrated directly into the app in one of the next updates. Until then, you can easily request the deletion of your account by emailing info@peak-pals.com – we will take care of it immediately. You can also revoke PeakPals' access to your Strava data at any time in your Strava settings.
